:frown:

"Unbreakable" and "titanium" doesen't mean "invincible to the USPS".

At least nothing is broken.

Gotta love eBay.

Typically, you don't just slap a USPS label onto the product's box, wrap the whole thing liberally with packaging tape, and throw it in the mail...

What if you bought a video card from FS/FT and they shipped it to you in the retail box? :p Or a CPU and they just stuck a label on the OEM cpu case dealie? ;)

It's just not good shipping etiquette...

If they're really unbreakable, that packaging should be fine. If they aren't, you bought crap from liars anyways.

The problem with a lot of submersible aquarium heaters is that the heater element is encased in glass. The titanium tube heaters are touted as unbreakable in that respect, which is true; they won't shatter if overheated or knocked. But it's not unbendable, and the thermostat unit and the sensor-end of the thermal probe is made out of plastic.

I agree with you, Eli.
That packing sucks. But that's eBay for ya!

I once purchased a $475.00 fendi bag from eBay and the seller wrapped it in a supermarket brown paper bag. She wrote my address in magic marker....

It rained...

nuff said.

:)

Interesting. So it isn't false advertizing, it's just incomplete.

I was just giving you grief, that is crappy packaging, and I'd be pissed.

That's quite a heater, what sized tank are you heating with it? I usually use Ebo Jagers, but those titatnium heaters are looking tempting.

I've never really had a problem with the USPS either, but this is clearly a problem located between USPS and the shipper.. lol
