I hope the marching band does get cut. If our public schools weren't wasting millions of dollars on gymnasiums, football fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, swimming pools, weightlifting equipment, sporting equipment, and other items which do nothing to educate our youth, we may just have a school system which isn't in shambles.

You want your kid to exercise? Get a gym membership. Want him to experience organized sports? Join little league. I don't know why public schools ever became responsible for this crap.

As opposed to the tough guy taking my order at Burger King? What you're saying isn't true anyways.. in fact I have experienced the opposite. Jocks are usually pansies and metrosexuals.

Either way, the point of votes is that if the people don't care enough to vote, then the change is not necessary. Either 1. make them vote or 2. run yourself and win.

Actually you'll find that on the average kids who particiapte in School Sports hold a higher GPA than those who don't and usually go on to some form of college.

Perhaps they are trying to save young people from enduring marching band? This is the first time I have ever heard of someone wanting to be in marching band -- perhaps in New York it's considered cool 😉
 
you've never lived in an area where there was a tax cut? suddenly there is and you point a finger at a single group of individuals (while maybe one of their members is on city council, or whatever)?

if you don't like the results, go vote, go protest with a bunch of people, and don't waste your time posting on ATOT. you want your voices to be heard? then speak out in a politically correct manner.

When I was a kid, I and all the other kids in the neighborhood go together with a ball and bat and played whenever we wanted. Why do schools have to get involved?
