PSA: Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown @ 8PM EST on ABC

Watch it every year. Will do so even when I'm an old man. The one holiday special I miss the most though is the the garlfield special.

As usual they broadcast it on a day I work <sigh>. I'll watch it online somehow on halloween. (no stream option on netflix...gah)

Maybe youtube will save the day.

well this worked out perfectly. the church my kids go to daycare at always has a trick or treat and played charlie brown for halloween... except now a new pastor is in town and has switched all events to veggie tails. It was a disaster at christmas time last year (the first time they showed veggie tails instaead of charlie brown). all the kids lost interest after 5 minutes. we didnt stick around for the show this year and i told my kids we'll watch it when we got home. Lo and behold i didnt have a copy, so i told them wed watch it tonight, and they were ok with that. now i dont have to go out and grab a copy! 😀

Veggie Tails sucks. Talk about overstimulating crap.

Love the old Charlie Brown specials...especially this one and the Christmas one!

Gotta love it - it's the official start of the Holiday season for me.

YAY!!!!!!!

thanks for the heads up i will TOTALLY be watching this.

and if its on ABC why do you need cable? get an antenna and you are set. i dont have cable and i get at least 15 channels just with a crap antenna and i live in BFE....

No one has ever liked Charlie Brown. It is a horrible cartoon.
I wish He-Man or Captain Planet had a pumpkin special.

Nice thanks. It is the start of the holiday season. I love the next two months, lot of fun. I'm 31 and I turn into a little kid for the next couple months. My wife has to deal with two kids now, one 7 and one 31!

Yay!

Almost time to watch Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo!

I have it on DVD so that I don't have to miss it. However, there's something different about "cheating" and watching it on DVD. But I have a toddler, so it's best not to make firm plans ever, because it makes them have meltdowns.

We (my family) watch it ever year (along with all the Peanut holiday specials).
The problem is though catching it on the ONE TIME it airs like when we we little has lost it's magic as it's available on VHS/DVD/BR/Streaming. I remember being little and if you missed the ONE airing ABC did, you were screwed for the next 365 days.

The magic is gone, but the show is still awesome.
