I'm curious what all you haters think is funny. Do you guys need dane cook in it to find it funny? Maybe ryan reynolds?

Imagine you're a deer. You're prancing along. You get thirsty. You spot a little brook. You put your little deer lips down to the cool, clear water - BAM. A fuckin' bullet rips off part of your head. Your brains are lying on the ground in little bloody pieces. Now I ask ya, would you give a fuck what kind of pants the son-of-a-bitch who shot you was wearing?

Didn't really think it was that funny. Stoners behind me couldn't shut up though.

I'm curious why you have to get all defensive when someone doesn't like what you like.

Funniest movie I have seen 2nd only to My Cousin Vinnie.

well considering 2 of the 3 you listed were crap, im gonna pass

2 out of 3? Try all were crap......of course, I'm basing this on actually having wasted my time watching, or enduring, all of them and wishing I hadn't.....

Why aren't there truly good comedies out any more.....like Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein or even Caddyshack or the original Pink Panther series or some of the early Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor movies? Seems like the true comedy creativeness has long since departed, leaving crude off-color or drug jokes as the standard that has to be met to be considered funny. More like lame.

Sooooo.....How old are you???

This post reminds me of the scene in "the office" with michael scott in the club talking to the girl about back to the future and she doesnt even know what that movie is

lulz

When it comes to Apatow movies, Forgetting Sarah Marshall stands head and shoulders above the rest. Now THAT is a funny movie.

This movie was great! Clever dialogue throughout, and plenty of LOL's.

I really think that the writers should get nominated for screenplay, and Franco HAS to get nominated as best supporting actor. I'm dead serious here. He was utterly excellent in his portrayal of Saul.

It was ok. I was a little disappointed as I thought it had potential to be one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
Probably would've laughed uncontrollably if I were stoned...

i really enjoyed it. a really unique approach to a generally predictable genre (action). fight scenes and chases were very cliche, yet very original at the same time! i thought franco did a great job. funny dialog. maybe a bit too much stress on male bonding, esp at the end (hell it felt like a man on man romance movie at times!). overall, me gusta

I thought it was fairly poor. Good jokes, Franco was an absolute riot, but they tried too hard to span more than just the typical stoner movie genre. Too much fighting/shooting that just didn't feel cohesive or well done.

You couldn't pay me enough to go see Seth Rogan/Judd Apatow garbage. Saying Pineapple Express is better than Superbad, Knocked Up, and 40YOV is like saying crabs is better than gonorrhea, syphilis, and the AIDS. Who cares, you still have crabs!

I used to smoke a lot years ago, but saw this movie sober.
Loved it.
That being said, I also loved 40 yov, super bad, and to a lesser extent, knocked up.

I finally saw this tonight, and it was a big disappointment. I LOVED 40 YO Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but Pineapple Express was just a poor outing. It had its moments but for the most part it was just silly, not funny. 2/5 stars from me, and Tropic Thunder remains the best comedy of the summer.
