It's about $80 at your local hobby shop. Seems kinda pricey, but it comes with everything (ie charger and battteries). Plus it's hobby grade and all the parts are replaceable in case you break something.
I've read on other forums that you can drop another motor in there to make it go 30MPH.

I have 2 of Losi's Mini - t's. They are 1/18th scale. Man are they a ball. My kids and I race them around the driveway all the time. Sure can sink some $$ in them though....

I had an old Losi LX-T stadium truck waaaayy back in the day.
I sunk lot's of money into it, but it was such a blast. Even had the front end of it run over by a car. 1 new wheel, two new wheel bearings, a new shock tower and a new bulkhead and I was back running.... I love Losi trucks.

It might be a good platform for a scale rig. I'd rather buy a TLT-1 and put the body from a 90s GI Joe truck on it.

I have a Mini LST with a brushless motor sitting on my shelf because I stripped the plastic gears. I just found out that Losi is gonna release metal gears, so I'll be back in business soon.

nothing fits. there are pages and pages in rc forums discussing this.

Hammerhead, they have some titanium gearsets out: LST Gearset. See if this would work for you.....

I just picked up a Mamba brushless ESC and motor from Castle Creations. With a 3 cell Li-Po pack, they were getting 70 mph out of it, and that wasn't "scale" mph either!

hehehe... I love my RC 18T. I fly helis and planes all the time, but still always have my 18T in the box w/ me. I beat the fuggin snot out of this thing and it takes a beating.

Cardiac, CC makes some sweet little motor/esc packages don't they? I've geared my 18T down to about 60mph simply because it was too hard to handle any faster than that!
