without reading anything on their page, the updates mustn't be for XP with SP2 beta, cause it says there are none still and I haven't updated in weeks.

i don't download the updates. I've found that they do more harm than good. My system is stable now, no sense is fscking it up now.

^ When is XP or 2000 unstable ? I've thrown all kinds of crap (software and hardware) and it never blue screens or freezes.

And BTW, the 5 critical updates are for both XP and 2000... had to get them on both machines.

They get downloaded to a "WU Temp" folder and I just copy them out before they are automatically deleted. The folder is usually "c:\WU Temp", but this time for me it was "d:\WU Temp".

This is just a request, but please make your sig a few less lines. Having a one line post take up more than half of a page is kind of annoying.



I downloaded the updates this morning. They were already waiting to install, so it must have downloaded during the night.
