Mobo is a Asus P5E-VM HDMI (absolutely wonderful mobo, btw. Only problem is Asus hasn't released any drivers for Server 2003 yet, but the machine still runs fine). The case is a Enermax FS2300BB, which they no longer sell. However, the case is here albeit not under the Enermax brand.

I actually was looking at getting an A71b, and I might be interested if the terms are right.

I went with a newer mid-tower from Lian Li, the PC-7fw, and I'm not particularly pleased. I wish I'd have gone with a full tower.

That said, I planned on holding out until the Cooler Master ATC-840 comes out in late november, then seeing where the prices are at. I figured I'd try to sell off the PC-7fw on Craigslist for awhile, before trying the FS section on Anandtech and the Hardforums, then ebay. *shrug*

The original Stacker HDD cage (super heavy steel) is impossible to find now (maybe on ebay), but you can find rev.2 (lighter steel). There is a replacement for rev.2 as well - it's made of aluminum with a nice looking ABS with aluminum trim dress bezel . The Egg has it occasionally and SVC has in in stock most of the time. Here is the link to it at SVC: http://www.svc.com/stb-3t4-e3-gp.html - but the Silverstone Kublai Kage (SST-CFP52B) is more modern - the fan holder just has to be modded a bit to hold it into most any case (as it was designed specifically to mount in the Kublai cases. It has individual trays for the drives, and can be made hot swap/Hot plug (cage comes with one HS/HP adapter, extras are ~$5.00 each. Cage with full complement of HS adapters comes in at under $50., cage alone under $30.

Thanks for that link. I have the equivalent cage made by silverstone, they look almost like twins.

Hey, seeing how the side pieces have a section that is bent in - will those cages work for cases that have little flanges sticking out to divide the 5.25" bays into slots? Or will those flanges catch on the cage, preventing it from installing correctly?

Thermalright SI-120 with a 120mm Akasa Amber fan on it. I'm not sure if it is still possible to find anymore, but it works wonderfully as it pushes air across the heat sinks on the mobo as well.

Yes, because of the indents on both sides, the new C-M cage should fit most cases without mods. The kublai kage itself will also fit most for the same reason but a way has to be rigged to hold the fan holder in place as SST stupidly designed that specifically for the Kublai series of cases.

Will those rev.2 cages fit in a Stacker 810? I thought they were made for the 830, but it looks like the fan cover can be removed.

Pros: Clean and smooth look. Very spacious inside. Room for the biggest CPU coolers and PSU's. You can probably hide two or three small children in this case. Excellent air flow.

The rev.2 cage was just like the original except made of lighter steel. The new aluminum cage, I guess you'd call it rev.3 is designed for the 830 and up Stackers but it will work with the older ones as well. You can remove the plastic bezel if you want, but I'd leave it on and store the bay covers away instead. You get better air flow thru the bezel that the bay covers.

. The new CM Stacker cage is nowhere as well made as the Silverstone CFP-51 - the aluminum is very light and flimsy.
