Unfortunately I don't see any of this. My jobsite currently has probably about 70 people working and the only women are my company's receptionist whose old and frumpy and my quality control manager. No thanks to either one.

I miss college.

It's just an issue I feel very strongly about. The fashion industry is downright hostile to women and it's run by an out-of-touch, narcissistic elite who decide on a whim what should be popular and what shouldn't be. Unlike many more clear-cut issues, most people don't even think about it, much less take sides.

But there are alternatives, yet many women still wear heels. Someones got to like it, if they can sell it.

Hey, if they want to, fine. I just don't like to perpetuate the idea that women should be expected to wear them. But if they do anyway, I can't force them to stop.

So basically what you're saying is you think women should be constantly putting on a beauty pageant for your amusement.

I suppose you also hate a woman who cares about her long-term health or actually thinks for herself instead of her entire life being dedicated to amusing YOU.

Of course. I'm God's gift to women.
Step one. Grab stick.
Step two. Pull said stick out of your ass.
Step three. Stop taking things so seriously.

You obviously have objectifying issues towards women. You must think that all good looking women are dumb as shit and only get through life based on their looks. I work with a bunch of good looking women and I'm fairly certain they are all smarter than you (and myself).

I don't expect them to wear them, I just like that they wear them. I wish my wife did, but she works retail and it would kill her feet. I've never complained to her about it, however.

holy shit I already explained why I feel strongly about this, I realize now that it's not a serious thread but I was already pretty invested in it by the then

also how the fuck does my thinking women shouldn't have to wear shoes that hurt their feet give me "objectifying issues"? I obviously don't think attractive women are stupid, I even said they're free to make their own decisions, but it's not always easy to buck the trend and wear something comfortable and less stylish when everyone is trying to tell you otherwise, doesn't matter how smart you are.

I don't work with any guys hot enough to wear heals for. :(

However, I should get some new shoes soon, the sneakers I wear to work now are falling apart.

I'm starting to wonder if you've ever had a relationship with a woman.
Every girl I've ever dated has cared about her looks. It's a normal biological thing for both sexes. Dressing nice and making yourself look pleasing is how you attract mates. Being the best looking or better looking option gets you better mates.
It's all biological.
You must hate going to the mall and seeing chics shopping at Victorias Secret or Fredricks of Hollywood. You know, those women that willingly go into a store and hand over their money for those evil sexy underwears.

aww look the assumptions just never end with you do they

Quit trying to goddamn psychoanalyze me. For the record I am married, I have had more than one serious relationship, and no I don't care that women try to look pretty, I just don't think they should be required to cause themselves excessive hardship to do it.

Now if you want me to get into more detail I could say that my mother demanded and earned my respect when I was a child. She taught me to appreciate the things people do for you and not to take them for granted. So if women want to put effort into making themselves look good I will appreciate that for what it's worth, but I am not going to take it for granted.

I was going out with this chick who she was fairly athletic, a soccer player, and could keep up with my 10 mile runs and Insanity workouts. We had been going out for about 3 weeks when she confessed to me that she'd been throwing up after every meal for the last 3 months. "Really?! Because you're not that skinny..." I guess she was doing it wrong.

My point is, it's not unreasonable for women to put themselves through hardship in order to look good. However, putting themselves through hardship and NOT looking any better for it is just ridiculous. I think the whole flat fad falls into the latter category.

Did she purge more frequently after you said that?

That was on a weekend getaway and it was the last time I saw her due to her purposely leaving her purse out a bar so we could "spend more time together this morning." She was doing her psychiatry residency. I wonder if she'll be able to fix herself some day...

Also I was a little miffed that we went to such nice places to eat and she was just throwing the food right back up.

I discovered that if I wore nice office clothes with heels and so on, I was always taken for a receptionist or something. I changed. I loved walking into a fancy Wall Street meeting with lawyers/bankers/clients in my frayed jeans, old sneakers and torn death-metal T-shirts. Everybody KNEW I was the head of the company because no one else would dare to dress that way.
lol. That's awesome

This.

Back when I was CEO of a company I founded, I discovered that if I wore nice office clothes with heels and so on, I was always taken for a receptionist or something. I changed. I loved walking into a fancy Wall Street meeting with lawyers/bankers/clients in my frayed jeans, old sneakers and torn death-metal T-shirts. You do what works to command respect.

P.S. Money is sexy.

There's a girl at work that wears heels 99% of the time. I don't know how she does it.

She does have one hell of a fine ass though.. lol.

I also like how any big sales deal or contract signing ALWAYS has a hot volumptuous chic brought in for eye candy. We call her the "candy closer".

Bet your sweet perky ass she's wearing heels and a skirt.

What's awesome is that real published studies have shown that this is an excellent idea. Men tend to make very poor judgment calls when turned on.

It's called bulimia.
