Nice! I use more than anyone I know and average 500-600 GB per month

Hope Comcast never reinstates their 250 GB a month cap, however - they never emailed me even when the cap was in place - even on months where I used 500+ GB.

I'm surprised they never bothered him about 50tb a month, props to Verizon honestly.

How can you tell how much data youre using per month?
Generally you have to check/monitor your router. There's software you can install on your PC to monitor the NIC, but that's just one machine. Some routers have this built-in, others have software you can install on a PC that monitors the router/read it's data. Some ISPs have a site you can check.

There are lots of ways. Programs that tell you.

Comcast tells you online, you just sign on and you can find it. Seems I have been using a lot more then I thought.

when i first read that i thought it was gb, but tb, lol. that dude is ridiculous. its ten people doing something like this, and the potential of more people doing it, that cause companies like vz to take away unlimited data for the rest of the world

I was thinking that the only way you could use that much data is if you were hosting a server. Lo and behold:

His problem is more that he's violated Verizon's terms of service than his excessive bandwidth usage. An IT professional who manages a test lab for an Internet storage company, houkouonchi has been providing friends and family a personal VPN, video streaming, and peer-to-peer file service—running a rack of seven servers with 209TB of raw storage in his house.

How is 209TB of raw storage much? I have 800+ TB on my server and its not enough space. I love that last line like that is anything but one HDD these days

We're talking the same language, right? Terabytes are the big ones.

What'd you do, pirate every blu-ray movie, DVD, and game disk ever produced?

I think you are confusing TB with GB. However, if you really do know how to get 209TB+ on a single drive do tell!

That's about 35 grand in HD cost alone. Not sure if serious...

Yea. For some reason I am dyslexic and read that as GB, even when typing it as TB. I guess 209 TB is quite a lot

I have 800 + GB and its not enough

My data use

Wow. What were you downloading in April. That is a huge spike for you
