Question PSA: Don't remove your GPU from a recent ASUS mobo unless you absolutely need to

There was no way to know. You won't touch the GPU anyway if you are like most normal people. Big problem for those who do benchmarking for fun and need to swap GPUs regularly.

I still don't get why these companies are so lazy. Make these huge GPUs external with a power brick and a Thunderbolt cable to connect to the PCIe 5.0 lanes.

Looks like my older push button release isn't affected.
Same and I'm glad too. I really like the feature, as my current options are to use a flathead screwdriver to push the tab down, or do it correctly by removing my HSF off of the CPU first on my MSI board due to lack of space available. On my ASUS board I just push the button and lift straight up; easy peasy.

The ASRock solution is very sketchy as well.

My issue is water block clearance also. But I did have to manipulate the mechanism before putting in card to see how it works.
