PSA: Don't refer to "Page XX" in your posts or topics

Some of us don't have ridiculously low posts/topics per page set on our profiles. "Refer to page 3" is meaningless if you have 25 posts set and I have 100 posts set and there's only 77 posts in a thread.

Post numbers actually make sense, and allowing to directly link to a specific post # would be a benefit.

There is a greesemonkey script for linking direct to posts.

That's easy enough to work around - PM box notifier sends an email, it gets bounced. Bounce tracker catches the email, flags the email address in the user database as unreachable. PM box notifier checks this flag before trying to send.

Okay, what happens when the user's mail server is down or unreachable? Nothing. Once flagged, their profile shows a warning that their email address has become unreachable on the last attempt and needs to re-verify their address before any further email notifications will be sent.

That way you have an up-to-date email listing of valid and non-valid email addresses, either that or people just don't care. Poof, done, efficient and not too difficult to implement either. Imagine that.

Yep, and it would be even better if these links were provided in subscription-update emails, also like every other forum in the world.

I hate it when I'm behind on checking my subscribed threads, and I have to hunt around for the latest post. The last-unread button only seems to work if the last-unread post is on the last page.
