Because karma's a bitch.

Went to the men's room today to drop a load. As I was in no rush as work was pretty much done I took out my phone to play some tetris to pass the time. My allergies started acting up and I let out a big sneeze. Because of this I lost my grip on the phone and fell into the toilet with all my excrement.......................................................................................

Yes I took it out with my hand. And I took so much effort to wipe down a now dead phone.

Also, what does this have to do with Karma and goofing off at work?
 
Umm.. You purposely wanted to spend extra time sitting on a public toilet?

I'm all for goofing off if you have the time, but for gods sake, find somewhere less filthy to do it.
 
sneezing is a terrible thing. i hate it. when you're on the road sometimes and you gotta sneeze and there's a critical turn coming up, i hate that. i end up trying to keep my eyes open (because there's a tendency to brace and close your eyes for that) and I spray all over my hand and steering wheel as a result. Ugh. but for safety right?!

This whole "phone on toilet" concept is just plain bad anyway. It had nothing to do with an extended time on the throne, and everything to do with not thinking.

okay man.

and yes i don't have a problem sharing this with my coworkers. besides, i washed my hands thoroughly. i don't know where you work but my work environment isn't as uptight as you think.

as an avid user of the iPhone on the toilet, this has always been my concern as well.

see....in the work world, you have bathroom breaks and regular breaks you can take....these do not include your lunch break. If you work for some nazi micro manager, then it sucks to be you.

Man, I can walk up and leave the office for a few hours and nobody would dare ask me where I went or what I was doing with my time. As long as I meet deadline, how I use my time is up to me. Yay for freedom.

to some people extended bathroom break = goofing off. i dont think this debate is clear cut black and white the way you want it.

i never said management called it goofing off. but in case it does better to be safe than sorry.

karma's a bitch. its an expression. go interact more and maybe you'll find the particular nuances of it.
