psa: don't eat wendy's spicy baconator

talk about heart burn city.... i've been up since 3am, woke up chocking on a mouth full of acid.

i didn't realize they put jalapeno pepper slices in the burger.... i was expecting a spicy chicken type of burger. my fault for not looking at the picture more closely. (thinking they were mushroom slices)

They accidently gave me one of those once when I ordered a double cheeseburger. I felt fortunate at first to get a free upgrade to their burger. But after I took a few bites, I just couldn't continue. That thing is pure meat, cheese, more meat, and then bacon and lard.

Funny thing....if you go to Chicken Lou's at Northeastern and order that exact name, they will serve it to you in 5 minutes. yeah....that thing could probably kill a person, but it's so good.

I had a baconator once. It was good but I don't know if my heart can handle eating many more...

I rarely get heartbun, spicy food usually just makes me go #2.

Studies have shown that the spice in spicy foods does NOT lead to heartburn. Something else gave you heartburn. Maybe it was the beef or the bacon, or some other cause.

However, the hot capsaicin chemical does make heartburn far worse if something else gives you heartburn. Not only is the acid eating at you, but now the injured area has the hot capsaicin chemical irritating it further. No matter how much antacid you take, it won't wash away the capsaicin once it is there. You can try milk-based products as that tends to help wash away the chemical.

Lots of people mistakenly think spicy food gives the heartburn. What often happens is that they have nightly mild heartburn. So mild that the acid doesn't pain them. But when they have a spicy dish, then they can feel the pain. Spicy foods get a bad rap that they don't deserve. Fix the underlying heartburn problem and spicy foods won't ever be an issue.

Their jalapeno burger was good, but then they pulled it and combined it with the baconator. It's pretty much the baconator with jalapenos. The baconator is just too much since the bacon is soggy and extra oily.
