PSA: Don't drink and drive

rudeguy

It will fuck your life up for years to come. Beyond jail, insurance rates, etc. So many things in my life are screwed up now because of stupid decisions I made years ago.

I could be a poster child for MADD but they are a bunch of whiny bitches.

13th anniversary of my DUI yesterday. I would have woke up in jail this morning 13yrs ago.

yeah, when you're loaded, try not to break the law

So women who lost husbands/children/loved ones to asshole drunk drivers such as yourself are 'whiny bitches'?

Go through life knowing there was a father you didn't get to know because a drunk driver killed him. Go through life everyday looking at children who won't ever see/interact/love a parent due to a drunk driver. Go through just one day in those people's shoes and see if you still consider them 'whiny' and 'bitchy'...douchebag...

I am actually quite close with families in that situation. I didn't say that the victims of drunk driving are whiny bitches, just that MADD is. MADD started off as a great cause but has devolved into a club of old women trying to run the world.

This reminds me of this guy today who is talking out loud about "road sodas", it's not bad because he's only having one or two (while driving) and they're his first drinks of the night. I didn't agree with him.

Sadly, this is 100% true. 🙁

Thanks. Can you create another thread on how you feel about the weather as well?

Are you somehow implying drinking and driving is an issue you should have a choice on? If so, I can't comprehend how many people have to lose their lives before people realise it's unsafe no matter how good you think you handle yourself.

I'm amazed I didn't ever crash or get pulled over in my youth.

I was always the guy who kept his shit together the most when drinking but by no means should I have been driving on a number of occasions, yet somehow I convinced myself I was OK to do so, or at least the best option when everyone else was fall down drunk.

In hindsight I was very dumb and extremely lucky.

Now days if I have more than 1 beer I'll have my wife drive (who doesn't drink, usually).

If I could go back in time I'd bitch smack myself for being so dumb and reckless.
