PSA : Don't borrow things without asking

My brother left town for the weekend. I wanted to watch an old movie, so I went to his room to grab his VCR. Checked inside to see if there was a tape in it, found a bag of weed.

Thought he was done with that crap. 🙁

haha, nice. He should have hid it inside the VCR if he was really worried about someone finding it though.

(note: Inside the VCR as in... inside. Not in the tape slot. )

I used to hide mine inside my speakers. But I quit doing that stuff a while ago.

Watch the movie and put everything back where you found it. Have a talk with your bro. when he gets home if your concerned. If he left town for the weekend and left his weed @home then he doesn't sound like a pothead to me.

I will borrow it, probably. It's none of my business what he does, he's a year older than me (19) and what he does is up to him. I'm not saying he's a "pothead", I'm just dissapointed. He's got a pretty good life going for him, just hope he doesn't screw it up.

Dude...is the weed affecting his ability to function successfully in society? if not, then don't worry about it.

At least it wasn't cocaine or heroin.

Just fvck with him when he gets back. Say you put a tape in there and it got jammed, so you took it in to a repair place to get it fixed.

not until the cops catch ya

That, and then there's the problem of a shorter life span (in terms of years) + more likely to get cancer + a million other possible bad things. He doesn't sound like a pothead, so he's not that bad off yet, but in a few decades he may feel differently. In any case, my general stand on all drugs (even alchohol and cigs) is that if you take enough to damage yourself knowingly, you deserve a Darwin.
I was addicted to inhalents a few years ago. Bought a lot of new magic cards, and decided I liked the smell. Then I learned about Sudden Sniffing Death Syndrome (You sniff and almost instantly die). That got me off em pretty quick, although I did have withdrawl symptoms for a few weeks afterword (THAT was hell). Parents just thought I had some random disease. BTW, I ceased playing magic two years ago, and my cards are now in my basement somewhere.

You got high. Off sniffing Magic cards. Then had withdrawal.

God, this place has sunk to new lows.

Personally I think alcohol is a much worse drug than weed, and can be used in a similar fashion. Just like people have a few beers after work, I see no problem with smoking a joint after work. But seriously if your worried about him talk to your bro., he might have just bought a sack for a upcoming party, spring break etc... or he might just be holding it for a buddy.

Weed is/was simply not accepted by society who used to believe that getting high caused crime and insanity (even alcohol was banned for a time in our country = prohibition). Turns out that smoking weed causes watching TV, playing video games, listening to music, laughing, and eating junk food. Society calls it a gateway drug, but it has been mislabeled as this simply because of it's common use, low cost, and availability compared to other drugs. I have learned from experience that if people want to try drugs they will find a way.

I was watching a documentary about drugs a few weeks ago that talked about how opium, cocaine, morphine, and other currently illegal drugs were sold in mixtures and labeled as common household remedies in the late 1800's and early 1900's until it was required to list the active ingredients in products sold as medicine and the govt. stepped in.
