I went on gamespy to play a game of Top Spin for the PC. I end up playing with a guy from the US.. now since the game didn't make it to the US shores u usually end up playing with Europeans.. needless to say, the dude was ecstatic that he finally got to play someone in the US with good ping.
So the first round set starts and he totally pwns me in the first few sets. The score for the first round of 6 sets was 4-6.
Well, I figure out his pattern which is always playing near the net (which really ticked me off coz its sorta like cheap shots) and I adjust usually lobbing the ball above his head and watch him dive hopelessly to reach it. I end up winning the second round with 6-2 and carry the round 3 with 6-1.
I get back on gamespy and he starts going off about how it was lagging towards the end... when in reality, he couldn't use his cheap trick of playing at the net and cornering his shots. I checked his ping and it was 74ms.
Whenever I lose a match, I'm man enough to congratulate the other player and say good game instead of blaming it on lag only when I lose. For crying out loud, take it like a man...:|
