No Parking!!!

I was searching online for good first aid kits ( a highly underestimated piece of gear I might add - everyone should have one ready to go!) and came across this picture. HAR!! Its the owners' own fault. I bet he/she was pissed!!! But the picture serves as notice to anyone who thinks they won't do it!!

Actually they could not have. Look at the proximity of the car to the large high pressure hose. When they hit the pressure in that hose there needs to be no sharp curves and as straight as possible all the way to the destination.

Considering the 5" threads are facing towards the front of the car... no, they couldn't have.

Okay, I'll give you that. What about routing it around the front then?

Because you deserve to have your windows busted out if you park in front of a fire hydrant, that's why :p

Why should they take the time? If your house was on fire would you want the firemen to slow down for some asshat that can't park where he is supposed to? He is dang lucky actually, some fire departments would hook it and drag it the heck out of the way. . .damaged or not

They do that intentionally. In fact, in many places, it's policy to AT LEAST break out the windows of the vehicle.

Ticket + points + massive interior damage (many times they will set it up so that a line coupling is directly in the center of the vehicle)

I have personally witnessed a Benz with 4 high pressure hoses set up like that and all it's windows smashed, with water pouring from every opening.

This is the modern alternative to damaging their obsessively cared for apparatus by using it to push asshats out of the way - less damage to their equipment, more loss for the asshat.

When I was a Firefighter in the Air Force, we had a toyota parked in front of one. We pulled the rescue truck up behind it and pushed it out of the way. Screwed up the bumper pretty good and prolly messed up the cog in the automatic tranny - oh well!!

That used to be standard practice, but the firefighters decided that buffing out scratches on their shiny bumpers wasn't cool, and switched to this MUCH more entertaining and fun for the family method of collecting the stupid tax.
