PSA diskpart.exe is awesome

I just added another 250gb hd to my RAID 5 array. I already had the stuff on there, and I was going to have to move all of the data on the last partition, delete it, make a new one with the extra 250gb included, and then copy everything over again.

Well, I remember reading in the manual about "diskpart.exe", and I decided to give it a try. And it works like a charm.

That saved me a hell of a lot of time. Screen #1 pretty much shows what you have type to get it to work. Took me about 5 minutes to figure it out, as I had never used it or really heard of it before.

It is pretty cool but I can't use it to extend my primary partition with the secondary storage partition on the drive at my job.

Yea it is a nice app. I'm a bigger fan of gparted which I normally use off a live CD. But that works great too.

I'm confused...what is 'extend'? No where do you mention how much you want to extend it?
