Yea, those people are great too for when I'm on my bike and have to cross an intersection. I sometimes have to weave all the way behind their bigass SUV or whatever it is.

I hate it when you're going through an intersection on green and some guy is creeping to make a right at about 5MPH and you wonder if he's even going to wait for you.

Does anyone ever intentionally stop that far past the line? I've only seen it on accidents where drivers were unable to stop on time before the line.
I don't think there are too many cases where you can actually blame someone for stopping past the line.

Why do Californians make up names for all bad traffic maneuvers that imply they are somehow related to California?
I agree with the OP, those people are idiots. The line is there for a reason. If you stick out farther, the people who are turning left have to slow down and turn at a different angle. You impede traffic by sticking out farther.

well there really is such a thing as a "Michigan Left" so why not a "California Stop" or "California Roll"
