PSA: Clean your microwave!

Orsorum

More often than every six months. Just cleaned mine out for the first time in a while, and ... EWWWW. :Q 😕 🙁

That is all.

I've been thinking about cleaning mine for the past 9 months :/

Maybe you should just throw the microwave out and get a new one. 😛

I think you're joking, but I was seriously thinking about that the other day 😉

Well for an extra $410,000 U.S. you can have one that never needs cleaning. Ever.

A PAM field produced by 1.8kW worth of palladium galvo nebulisers will contain all fumes and fatty materials emitted by your foodstuffs in the agitative cavity. There are different operating modes that can allow for redeposition of these materials in unadultered state (recommended) or they can be altered for you into solventary compounds to enhance the flavours of particular foodstuffs. Of course the latter mode has not been tested for preparation of foodstuffs for human consumption; however the suspension methodologies employed are 100% inert and intrinsically safe.

The optional multimoded gas chromatographic removal contact chamber ($145,000) will give you detailed analyses of what you're cooking out of your foodstuffs.

Today's housecleaning tip: Soak a couple of papertowels with hot water, place them in the microwave, and run it on high for 1-2 minutes. The moisture from the towels will give the inside a steam bath and all the junk will easily wipe off (careful- the paper towels will obviously be hot).

I usually fill a microwave-safe bowl with water, add a couple drops of lemon juice, and mircowave for 2 minutes. Then, make sure to leave the bowl in the microwave for ~5 min to let the steam do its magic!

I'll have to keep that in mind. 😛
