So i managed to blast myself with carb cleaner (contains toluene amongs other things)... face, eyes, the whole shabbang. I can actually still see no problem, so I'm guessing no long term damage, bur yeah kids definitely wear some safety glasses when dealing with that crap.

On the positive note though, the carbs on my bike are clean and I should be able to start putting back together tomorrow.... yay!

Note to those of you who think they look stupid wearing safety glasses: You look stupider with a 6' long red/white striped cane. Glad to know you are ok halik. :)

Did you soak them carbs in cleaner? if not they probably aren't "clean".

Safety glasses FTW!

I learned my lesson about using safety glasses when I got drenched in ATF and got it in the corner of my eye. Now I always wear them.

They have so many kinds of decent looking safety glasses now, there is no aesthetic argument to be made.

Well I wasn't rebuilding 'em, I was just cleaning the jets. The idea was to use the thin little nozzle thing to blast thru the jets and that worked great till the thing moved and I got a Toluene moneyshot.
