I disagree. I thought it was a very powerful movie in the subject matter and the acting was excellent. The tent scene I could do without but the rest of the movie was really touching.

I don't really find flicks about adultery that entertaining, outside of porn. For me it doesn't matter that it's dudes, it could be two women or a man and a women, it's just another sappy chick flick that got waaayyyy to much exposure because of the man love aspect.

If you like it though go for it, I don't really do chick flicks.

it's a very good flick, very well made. should be seen by all. It was a very well-received story well before the film was made. Annie Proulx is no slouch. Nor is Ang Lee.

discrediting it as poor acting, weak, predictable, chick flick, blah blah...is uninformed at best. go back to Vin Diesel if that's what gets your single ganglion twitching.

Aside from having mainstream actors in a gay cowboy movie, this is nothing special.
