PSA: Blinkers - part II

To me some of you are down right dangerous with your blinkers. When you turn your blinkers on, you think that it's your god given right to move into the lane that you want to move onto. NO, it's "move over when safe", not "I'm gonna move over because my blinkers are on".

To some of you, the pseudo blinkers come on just merely for legality purposes, and you have no intentions of being courteous, or have any effort in being a safe driver. More often than not, your blinkers are on when you're half way into the lane that you want to move over already, so what's the fcuking point? By then, ten people (at least) have already slamming their brakes, because lil ole you were being so fcuking courteous with your blinkers.

Just because you follow the law, doesn't mean you're a safe driver. Some of you sit there and think that because you are Mr./Mrs. law abiding citizen and that you're the safest and best drivers on the road, think again. It takes a lot more than just following the law to be a good driver, and that's all I've got to say about that.

Next time you turn your blinkers on, turn on that logical part of your brain as well yeah?

I use my blinkers a lot, typically quite safely. Although if people are d!cks and see the blinker, then speed up specifically so I wont get in front of them, I shall return the d!ckiness and jump in front of them anyway and slow down.. then give them a wave when they flip me off.

When I'm in my 77 Grand Marquis, I'll get over whenever the hell I feel like it. Hit me if you don't like it. It's got no blinkers anyhow
j/k, (well, about getting over whenever) I do always use the blinkers in my other cars.

I always use my turn signal, but it's just to obey the law. I go into lanes as I please so long as it doesn't cut anyone off. I don't do it to warn people because depending on how far back they were, they wouldn't be affected anyway.

BTW, being a "good driver" doesn't mean being safe/unsafe. Grannies can be safe too... does that make them good ? Or you could be aggressive and execute everything well... some see it as being aggressive or dangerous, but that can mean they're good at driving, period. Being courteous is also different.

How do you figure that I'm a dick to you on the road... let's take a look at this logically shall we? I'm travelling at... let's say 75 mph on the left lane. You're chugging along at 65 mph on the lane right of me, and you want to move over. You turn your blinkers on signaling your intention, and wanting to move over. But, I'm traveling at my speed, and I'm not speeding up... it's your duty to merge when safe, not cutting people off and think that you're right and the other people are being d!ck.

It's in every drivers handbook as far as I know to drive safely, perhaps ignorance has won over. From the way you're singing, my guess is that you're from BFE, and don't know the meaning of courtesy. Do you happen to have a gun rack on the back of your pick-up?

Alright... I stand corrected... my apologies. But wouldn't you agree more often than not, people just "get over" thinking that the other person was "speeding up", when infact they're just traveling at their speed?

Courtesy is when someone has their blinker on let them move the fck over as much as it is courtesy to only move when it's safe.
It's a two way street, no pun intended.
