That was quick. It is not a good movie, but certainly not bad. If you guys are complaining about it, you obviously have not seen very many Sci-Fi Original Movies.

battle for LA had much better special effects... but it was really just one long scene. Not much in the way of plot or character development.

The chick at the end fires a stinger she just happens to have. Her target is 5 feet away and neither she nor the room around them nor the two dudes on either side of her take damage when the badguy dies.

Just because all of SciFi's other movies are shit doesn't mean another shit movie is ok :p

It's horrible!

Not sure if I should admit this, but when inglorious basterds came out on blu ray, another movie named inglorious bastards (totally cheesy B-movie from the 70's) was released on blu ray about the same time...I told some buddies I was gonna buy so we could watch it and bought the wrong movie...

Still get reminded about that to this day....

Regarding cheesy effects, there was one scene where an american soldier threw a hand grenade at a german soldier who was hiding behind some sandbags....You can see the rope that pulled the german soldier up after the explosion...we stopped and rewound and slo-mo'd that scene several times....

So I saw this movie was on Netflix and started watching it. 2mins in I could tell something was off. It looked like it was made in the 80s. I checked the release date and it was 2011. I figured it was a sci-fi action flick so might was well keep going. After watching it for about 30min, fast forwarding a bit, I realized it was utter crap. I checked online I realized I was expecting Battle:LA. Not sure if the people at Netflix was fooled or they thought people would actual want to watch such a crappy movie. :colbert:

no, they weren't fooled. I forget the studio that does these, but they have been making cheap-ass ripoffs of blockbuster sci fi and action movies for several years now. Netflix streaming has shit-ass selection for Sci Fi, so always default to assuming that only the rip-off is available.

I don't know if it's the same guy that did Battle for LA, but he also did "Transmorphers," and a few other shit-ass movies produced simply to capitalize on branding.

I actually saw 5-10 mins of this movie the day BEFORE I saw the good BF:LA. It was really bad. The former, not the latter. Scy-Fy, sy-fy, or whatever the hell they call themselves now, really has some horrid movies. Sometimes they have a winner. Also, WTH does scripted wrestling have to to with this channel?
