PSA: Arabs are semitic, too

Personally, I can't tell Israelis from Arabs just by looking at them...dark skin, large noses, ...😉

To be honest, I think telling a Jewish person that would be draw a more incensed response than telling an Arab. Anyway, Ashkenazi Jews aren't really all that semitic to begin with.

Err, it's usually Arabs telling people calling them anti-semitic that they are essentially claiming we hate ourselves. We know our semantics 😛

The students in the Modern Hebrew class I took last year thought I was Israeli until I pointed out I was Palestinian; I've got a huge nose.

I agree 😛 Unless the person is a European Jew, I really can't tell the difference...we all have big noses =P

Then again Arab is such a broad term its really hard to pinpoint the exact Arab race since its something more linguistic

semitic is a language group, including herbrew and arabic, amongst other things (like aramaic). so, it is linguistic.

palestine was the derogatory roman word for judea. they called it palestine to piss off the jews. historically, palestinian is jewish. you're something else, unless you're a jewish arab.

Majority of Israel is of Arab origin .....

If you count the 19% of Muslim-Arabs that live there...

All the Arab Jews went to Israel, but they are not Arab they are called Jew.

Yeah, and they both smell funny, too.

don't start this nonsense.

the term antisemitic means what it was coined to mean. a word doesn't always come directly from its parts. homophobe doesn't mean afraid of man after all, it means you are afraid of homosexuals. understand? a gay basher that claims he isn't a homophobe by trying to break down the words meaning is just playing games to divert discussion, as are most people who try to break down the antisemitism label.
