Hello geeks and gamers,

I need your advice and expertise really badly. I am a casual gamer who just likes FIFA - nothing else.

Should I get the PS4 slim because it has better graphics and specs or should I get the XB1 S bundle in which I'll get two games and one controller free on black Friday? How is the graphics on XB1 S compared to PS4 slim? Should I go for price or better graphics? Will I be able to sell the two games that I'll get with the XB1 S bundle?

Looking forward to your replies. Any help highly appreciated. Enjoy. :)

There will likely be great deals on the PS4 around Black Friday too.

If all you play is FIFA, then I would say it really doesn't matter which console you get.

Sure you can sell the games you get with the bundle, but you will get cents on the dollar for them. Whether you open them or not, they will be considered used.

I'd buy the PS4 myself. I'd wait till black Friday though as there is sure to be a good deal.

You won't be able to tell much difference between the two when you play. The PS4 does maintain higher frames overall. I'd just buy whatever console has the games you want. I've seen the XB1s with a FIFA bundle a few times. By the way. I was PS2, PS3, PS4 only guy for awhile. Just got my XB1s yesterday. Surprised how laggy the dashboard can be. Not sure if it's because it's outputting 4K, but the dashboard previews seem to state there's improvements coming to it. I was also disappointed with the 4K streaming support. Only Netflix so far, not even YouTube is 4k! Haven't tested Amazon yet. However, there is on thing about Microsoft... they update and aren't conservative or shy like Sony's firmware updates post 2008.

I have both systems and I just don't like the Xbox One UI. It's not quick, it's not easy to navigate, everything is all over the place. Give me my games front and center. I don't like having to go to a secondary screen just to look at my games to play.

I agree with you zerocool. There are many other non game related things I don't like about the xbox 1s. There's no bitstreaming for DVDs and BluRay. Thought they say it's coming on the update in spring. I tried to see if I can enjoy the passthrough and run my DirecTV through it, but the picture quality seems processed and mucked with. With Kinect it was a lot of fun to voice command. So I was hoping I could at least tell it to turn the TV on and DirecTV and change channel, but the system must be on with it's fan spinning. The PS4 can still function like downloading games, update in rest mode with the fans coming on only when needed.

Sigh. I do like how agile Microsoft is and I hope the UWP update this spring really helps it, but in terms of quality they still got a lot to go with the XB1s. One thing I do like is the trigger on the controller. That along with Titanfall 2 and shooting guns felt great in that game. I really bought it for 4K BluRay until the Scropio next year. Sony went a bit too cheap with the PS4 Pro. They can spare to pay for 4K BluRay. They pretty much subsided BluRay with the PS3. I wouldn't have even considered the XB1s in the 1st place if it had 4K Blu. Oh well.

Yeah but the Xbox one and PS4 bluray players suck compared to a standalone player. I have been nothing but disappointed with both of these consoles for standard br playback. The picture quality just doesn't compare to either of my stand alone Sony BR players. Like not even close. I haven't expereinced the new xbox one s br player but I bet it is still crap.
