There really is no better, it's tit for tat. Do you want Kinects features, TV features? Which do your friends want to get? Which controller do you like best?
PS4 has a bit more graphical potential but it's currently not too noticeable just yet.

Whoo hoo, personalized console debate thread bait, go!

You don't have to debate anything with his question. Just show him a comparison chart and provide info for someone to make informed decisions. That's what forums are here for, not to be a jerk to newbies.

My best friend has a xbox 360 and now he also dont know what to buy but he is more for xbox one and i am more for PS4 beacuse its cheaper. No i dont need kinect or ps eye.I like xbox 360 controler beacuse its bigger but Dualshock 4 looks very good to.

I'm personally buying an Xbox One. I'm pretty deep in the Microsoft "ecosystem" as a whole and I like the media features and fast switching. Gaming is, at best, tertiary to me and I'll mainly play through a game I like or spend 1-3 hours a week online with friends. The media features are great and all of my friends are doing the Xbox One thing as well so it makes it an easy choice for me. I also think Kinect is going to blow minds this time, but don't hold me to that.

That said, if gaming is most important to you, the PS4 clearly has no equal, it's performance is better and it sounds like Sony finally got their development kit together.

If Xbox is not supported in your country than the choice is even easier for you. PS4 has the superior hardware and the better graphics capabilities. And if your country does carry Sony products and online service than you would be better served getting that, right?

I'd have to agree with this. If you're not sure when the Xbox One will be officially available in your country and don't want to wait, I would think that makes the PS4 an easy decision.

yes, thats true but now i have xbox 360 and ps3 and i prefer xbox because of the controller. So i decided to sell both and buy just one gaming console.I am only worried because of the games like Forza,i like forza very much, and i havent heard anything about the new GranTurismo coming to PS4.

If you don't know when Xbox will be available in your country or if you will be able to have Xbox live, then I would choose the PS4. While ps4 has great technical specs for a console, the current games available don't really show it off yet.

If you need to make a decision soon I would pick up the PS4 since it's cheaper. It should suit you fine for bf4, cod, any other titles you may want.

Well, the price difference isn't that big of a deal for you. You said that you want FIFA 14, and FIFA 14 comes for free with the XBOX One in Europe. I'm not 100% sure what conversion rates will be, but looking at it in USD, it's $400 + $60 vs. $500. Gran Turismo 6 is being released on the PlayStation 3, which means that you'll have to wait for Driveclub next year or the next Gran Turismo installment, which probably won't come out until 2015 -- unless they do another weird half-release like they did with GT5.

I think i will buy the PS4 after all, because if i want to play online xbox one i have to create an UK or US account an order Microsoft Points and Microsoft Gold Live from ebay...
But i am interested does somebody know how much will be the price of xbox one without kinect?

You have to buy it with the kinect. You may not even be able to buy it later without it. If the ps4 is supported where you live just get that and enjoy it

Why would you even consider and Xbox 1 (first generation) when you could get a Playstation 4 (fourth generation) system? 😛

I'm actually asking the same question myself...which system to invest in? I haven't had a Playstation since the original. I got a 360 in 2006/2007 and it's been a good system. I can definitely tell games now are needing more hardware (mainly RAM and storage) to compete with PC platforms.

If you expect to play online games, I'd stick to the one that's supported best regionally so you can play with/against friends. Most of my friends have Xbox 360s...I expect them to go with the Xbox One....especially if I jump first and sell them on it.

"Hi, I need help choosing between Item A and Item B. Item A seems like a good product. Item B is not available or supported in my country."
