PS4 headset.

Hey looking for some suggestions on a headset with mic. Would like the ability to mute mic and volume control on the cord itself. Would prefer 3.5mm instead of using a usb cable. Would rather stay under $150.00.

Why not the actual Sony ones which are wireless? I have the Gold ones and they sound great. Platinum ones go for $130

Savor the moment. I got Sony Golds as well and the achillie's heel is the weak hinge built with weak tiny plastic. After 18 months of light use, my right muff snapped off. Leave it to Sony to throw in a worthless "compact" folding mechanism at the expense of longevity.

To be frank, you get what you pay for in Headsets. If you want robust build quality and longevity then you have to spend more to avoid the cheap plastic. My Steelseries Arctic Pro headset has aluminum earcups and airweave earpads, a steel headband support with ski goggle elastic headband. It was also much more expensive than Sony's headset. Not to mention the higher quality sound.

They came out with a new version of the Gold which are deigned different and don't have that folding hinge.

I'd say to the OP to pick them up as they are the best gaming PS4 headphones for the price.

Well good for him. I'm still stuck with broken headphones I spent a Benjamin on and still feel salty. 🙁
