Wait, the PS3 doesn't come with ANY type of HD-Cable? It comes with freakin composite!?

That is horrible

I'm no expert on HDTV and its various cables... there's way too many acronyms out there for me to keep track of. But someone else in this thread said there are three different types of HD cables. There are also many people who will use the PS3 without an HDTV. They're already selling the thing at a several hundred dollar loss - do you want them to take an even bigger loss, or charge you to include the four different sets of cables they'd need to keep all of their customers happy?

I am pretty sure all HDTV sets have component, not all have HDMI or DVI. So if this is the next big HD gaming system, WHY NOT give the most common type of HD cable with it? If people want HDMI, they can then buy it. The 360 came with component. It's just stupid to package it with composite. Why not just give us an RF cable then? We can't get HD from it either, so why not save a few more dollars.
