PS3 vs XBOX360 and Revolution

In Sony's press release, they merely stated that it would have a cell processor running at 3.2 Ghz. What they didn't say was that the cell processor is actually 8 cores on die, each running 2 threads. Meaning 8 cores at 3.2 Ghz; 16 threads per cycle.

People were hyping XBOX360's 3 cores at 3.2 Ghz each, and Revolutions 4 cores at 2.5 Ghz each. It isn't all about the frequencies. Sony's move to use bluetooth might prove beneficial to everyone - possibly driving down the cost of bluetooth keyboards, etc.

XBOX360 seems very promising to say the least. The Revolution is still a mystery.

Nintendo Revolution conference tomorrow, we'll probably have a better idea then w/ maybe screenshots & images of the games/new system.

Yea, I'll probably pick up an XBOX360 this Christmas - just because it's the first one out. I do wish that keyboards/mice were standard on consoles. They are much better to play FPS with.

will I finally be able to use a mouse + keyboard with the xbox 360 and PS3 for doom type games??

That is what has prevented me from buying a system so far, is no mouse and keyboard support.

indeed, i was just stating the point for technological age gap differences. But I expect a US release in Fall/Winter 06 as well for the PS3.
