He's saying that Xbox 360 has actual hardware while PS3 isn't even materialized as a system yet.

That's irrelevant IMO, because you're looking at a next gen system for the next 5 years. It doesn't matter that Xbox 360 is out now with a few crappy launch titles. You should wait until both are out to make a real judgement. Besides, then at least Xbox360 should have Halo 3 (ie good games).

Xbox 360 myself. I havent played a game with my PS2 for so long its going to be sold. I prefer xbox over ps2 by far.

Forget about Blu-Ray and superior hardware and longevity.

It's all going to come down to two things.
1. Games
2. Online support

I hope Sony gets their act together on online connectivity.

Personally, the games for the xbox (plus xbox live) interest me more then the PS2. I might sound like a xbox fanboy, but i prefer the xbox selection of games over the PS2. Also, i love online gameplay and IMHO, PS2 online sucks the big monkey tackle.

Well I need to do some research on the online gamage to see how that is I heard that you have to buy it or pay monthley to do it. That sounds like it really sux @$$.

you have to play monthly for xbox live (or get the starter kit, comes with a mic, game and one year of XBL), but its worth it IMHO. There is usually no lag, your friends list is the same with all of the online games, broadband only. I love it.

im not too sure if that 40KB up will be able to handle xbox live. check that out m8ty.




P.S: before making a purchase decision, make sure you wait for the plans of PS3 online. than make a decision.

thats 40KB not 40Kb or 40kb. I should be good its pretty fast. I have had DSL slower then that.

Xbox Live is $50/yr (which is ~$4/month)... A freakin' bargain, for all that it does!

Spring 2006 is the release date for Japan. The US release date is said to be Nov 2006, with rumors of Spring 2007 if the Xbox 360 doesnt sell well.
