I like to play alot of music from my ps3 and was hoping theres a way to change volume through the dualshock controller. There's an option in the menu but it only goes from -2, -1, 0, 1, 2 which is not much flexibility. Also its cumbersome.

Can't we just move one of the analog sticks to increase/decrease volume. Hopefully Sony does this. Or is such a feature or something similar already there but I don't know about it?

Yup I do that right now. I just feel it would be a great feature for the ps3 cause you know how you can rewind fast foward through tracks using the controller. Great thing is that the controller is bluetooth so I like going to the other room and using it on my ps3!

I would also like some equalization between games and movies. Watch a movie, not too loud, decent volume. Stop that, go to a game, and it blows me out of the room.

Ah, I can see why you "really really need this" (topic summary).

This just in, Barack Obama is too lazy to get off his butt to change the volume. Would he even answer the phone at 3AM if it wasn't in the same room? :p

Does the Blue-Ray remote have volume control on it? I'll check mine when I get home in...several hours XD.

I don't think so. But it's not like I've never been wrong.

Only way I could see this being useful is listening to music in another room.

Volume normalization seems like it would be a pretty cool idea, but in practice it would suck. an explosion being as loud as someone whispering? maybe at night, but any other time, it just wouldnt be right
