Eh, I don't know but if it does I seriously doubt I'll be picking one up at launch.

People said that about the 360 too, and looks how well that's sold. And the Playstation is far more popular than the Xbox. I think people will buy it... consoles gaming has moved from a toy for kids to something for adults. The kids will just buy the Revolution, and the adults will buy the 360 and PS.
And i'm sure you're going to get a lot of first time console buyers who will simply buy it to see what their HDTVs can do... both with the Bluray and for the games. People were already expecting Bluray machines to cost $1k.

I am 32yrs old and I play mario kart alot more than GT3/4. Your point is?

Isn't it obvious? That you've got the mental age of a 10 year old.

Dumbest thing I've read on the forums so far today. Don't worry, I'm sure I'll find something worse.

LOLOL some of you guys are so sensitive... are you sure you should be on the internet? It was obviously a generalization of the type of markets each of them are going for. Ok, i guess i'll revised my statement for you ladies.

The PS3 will be mostly purchased by adults and wealthy or spoiled kids. And the Revolution will be mainly targetted at kids and adults who likes kids games.

Happy now?

Wow, at first I had planned to do some debating with you. Now I've just decided that you're either a troll or an idiot and I don't like conversing with either.

Yup. The 360 didn't follow the monetary conversion rates and I don't expect the PS3 or Revolution to either.

The Xbox360 is tanking in Japan. The Japanese gamers just aren't buying it but then again they play some crazy games...

when they miss the chirstmas season this year there is going to be a massive number of seppeku at sony hq.

If they do indeed miss the season, it's going to be absolutely disastrous for the company. Plain and simple, it's a move they cannot afford to make.

Even if the system does have some bugs, I'm sure they'll release it. I mean look at the 360 Fiasco.

what 360 fiasco?

With their first revision of the product, the infamous red light on the power button. Whether it was overheating issues or what, Microsoft released a sizable amount of defective consoles.

hmm i guess i got lucky i got my 360 on luanch date and havent had any issues, i would have been pissed to get a broken box after all that hassle of trying to track one down.

same here mines a launch day console and havent even had 1 lockup..

Mine was working fine until that mandatory patch they had. After that, it was locking up on everything. MS sent me out a new one within a week even though I was out of the warranty period.

The more Microsoft and Sony play this little game, the more I think Nintendo had the right idea all along. Keep it simple, keep it cheap, focus on games. If they just had the 2nd/3rd party backing they need.

My Xbox360 locked up A LOT in PGR3. Scratched the game up so it wasn't playable so I had to get it exchanged. Coincidently my PS2 scratched up my TTT so I couldn't play that also...

No it's not.

Most poeple don't want to sit two feet in front of a moniter with a keyboard and mouse.

Most casual gamers (90% of the market) would rather be in front of the TV in a comfy chair/sofa with a controller and the ability to play with friends in person.
