Granted, there are great looking games for the PS3 but this is not one of them. I think for Sonic they are going for high FPS since it's a very fast paced game.

Look whatever. I'm not a friggin PS3 fanboi or anything. These are the first screenshots of any game I've seen for it and they look pretty decent to me. I'm sure you're right about it being more about playability and less about graphics. I meen if I remember the old Sonic, stuff was going by so fast you didn't have a chance to look at stuff. I jsut don't think it's as terrible as all the XBox dudes do. They're obviously trying to feel good about buying an XBox when they know they'll be longing after the lastest and greatest that comes out next. No matter who makes it.

LOL..a lot of (or maybe ALL) 360 games look better than that trash. Go take a look at the Lost Planet demo on Xbox Live sometime. I don't know why people are expecting amazing things out of the PS3, it uses the nVidia RSX chip which is based off the 7800 core. That chip will be 2 yrs old by the time PS3 is available in mass quantity and its still won't be as feature rich as the 360s ATi Xenos.

Right but the games will be on Blu Ray disc meaning a lot more room for storage. So where MS would have to skimp on space for textures, models, etc, so they'll fir on a dvd, the PS3 will have the storage capacity for whatever a game designer could possibly want to do.

LOL not with the PS3's 256 mb memory dude. Blu Ray won't mean jack sh!t for games.

Bring back 2D scrollers and platformers! I'm pretty sure Castlevania:SotN was the last good 2D platformer (if not one of the best). I can only hope there will be more some day.
