Also, for the plethora of eBay n00bs out there, when it says "The seller ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price.", that means the seller probably made a deal with the buyer to sell the item outside of eBay.

Saves the seller eBay fees, saves the buyer the wait. The auction never closed at $9.99, it was ended early by the seller at $9.99.

Meh...he'll get out of it....ebay lets you off the hook if you made a price mistake.

Exactly.

PS3's aren't going for the $2,000+ people were hoping for but they are still closing at $1,075 - $1,200 for the bare console.

what I am thinking is that the seller closed the auction at that price. I am sure that the bidder must have contacted the seller and they have mutually agreed on a price. Seller closed the auction to just save on ebay fees.
