I'm considering trading my 360 for a PS3 and was wondering if there is any truth to the PS3 redesign rumors. I know Sony is a company prone to such hardware revisions but is it coming very soon?
 
Very soon? No one knows.

Before xmas? Probably.

Also, the guess I've seen most often is that the sequence will mirror past model changes from both Sony & MS :
1. price drop on old unit ("fire sale")
2. PS3 Slim intros at $399
3. price drop on PS3 Slim a month or two later

... so you're probably be looking at several months even if the fire sale starts next week.
