looked through first 5 pages no serious bids there

ditto, and then not another until page 10. And then there were a few bids on page 11.

while $3k is a damn good profit for the ps3, I don't think people are going to get the $6k-$10K that some were projecting.

It looks like most actual sales are being completed in the $1000-$1300 range now, no one is getting $3k. Which is hilarious because anyone with an actual job is would make more money than the time and effort these idiots put into getting a PS3.

I have already known that people are trying to make profits, but I didn't know they're trying to make that big of a profit.

Well we knew both :p

Better luck on your next thread

The high auction prices are just part of the advertising schemes. It seems that many PS3 Ebayers are making back-end deals with potential buyers. The high auction price is there to catch someone's attention. Then the bidder sends the seller an email asking "WTF?". Then the seller tells the bidder that they can negotiate a price outside of Ebay, so extra fees are bypassed. Once a price is agreed the seller ends the auction early.

Wow, you mean they're selling the Playstation 3 already? Why did nobody tell me this?

$1100-$1300US depending on the bundles (what's included).

I'm sitting here lauhing picturing all those fools who took time off work/holidays to camp out for these things thniking they were going to make $5k-10k+. All that suffering and embarassment for a measly $500-600. Greed coming back to bite them in the ass.

Arbitrage.

I'm seeing some end under $1000 now. Those will get bids, just from people who won't pay.

really? I can understand the wish to avoid ebay and paypal fees...but jesus H! Seems like an easy way to get seriously scammed with absolutely no recourse unless you pay in cash, in person.
