Because he (understandably) didn't think it could possibly go for below what he paid for it.

It's unfortunate that they can't force him to sell it to the guy.

A fluke, but most likely due to the fact that the auction ending time was a little later than usual, and the seller was Canadian with little recent selling history.

Canadian sellers are getting less of a premium for their PS3s. But from recent auctions, I'm seeing most PS3s go for between $1400-$2000.

stupid loser - I wish he is FORCED to sell the PS3.

Personally I don't see why people HAVE to have it....just wait that 6 months and it'll be better. Scalpers make the situation worse because for every 5 systems they scalp or so, that is ONE that FIVE OTHERS could be playing. I don't think they create the problem of shortages, but they definitely add fuel to the panic and excaberate an already sh|tty situation

People selling pre-sales are fools anyway. They should wait until the system hits the shelves first. The Christmas shopping rush hasn't even really started yet. These guys are selling themselves way short.

Come back when you learned to read.

Come back when you learn to spell...It was too easy, I had to say it :).

Like I said, I'm tired. I read everything over but the words didn't compute in my head :p - I get it now though, I guess breakfast is an important meal.

Maybe it costs $1 to put a reserve on your auction?

The purchase was made in Canada. You can obvious see that the address is V8J316 , which is a Canadian zip code. Even though it was 903.97 CDN, the USD equivalent price is $810.31, so that is still pwnage!

I think they actually charge a percentage (close to final value) and you lose it if the reserve is not met, but if your reserve is met you get it back. It keeps people from putting high reserves just to see what they can get and then offer it to the highest bidder.
