PS3 pre-orders on ebay

eBay is shutting down PS3 pre-order auctions.

And my guess is they'll have their hands full with fraudulent auctions once it launches. The amount of fraud I saw with XBOX 360 auctions last year was unbelievable. Scammers usually save all their best hijacked accounts (high feedback ones) for the holidays.

Apparently not, check out the pre-sale rules:

So, do you think it's worth waiting to sell the PS3 when it launches, or would you make more by pre-selling it?

I think it'll fetch more after it's released.

Im gonna hold onto mine and list it on Launch Day. Or hold it over till early december.

That is just ridiculous... 2000+ dollars? I thought a PS2 for ~1000 was too much when it first appeared on ebay. Don't people realize that 3 or 4 months after launch, you have a 2000 dollar ps3 while all your friends will have 600 dollar ps3s and they are the same. Who looks stupid? The guy with a ps3 on the first day or the guy with 1400 dollars left over a few months later?

Personally I'd wait a few months and save myself that huge lump of cash.

I would also but there are always those parents that "must" because what little Timmy wants for Christmas he gets or he will tear down the walls, beat on his sister, and hit the cat.

Some people have more money than they know what to do with. This is just one example of how you can help the get rid of that extra cash.

I wish there was a way to review trends from last year to see how the 360 did on ebay 😀 My bro wants to sell his. He said if he can get $2,500 for it he'll buy me a Wii lol.

Ah yes Timmy must have his shinny new toy. Parents should never let their kids control them like that, it's disgusting. Makes me wonder what these kids will turn into when they grow up.

They made special rules for the PS3 and Wii, its all over the FW threads if you go there.
