ps3 optical out signal to 5.1 PC signal

Hi. I have a ps3 (which has an audio optical out) and I have Creative Gigaworks G500 gaming speakers (which are 5.1 and have the orange green black connectors)..

Right now I have the ps3 setup so that it has component cables (which include stereo audio) going into my LCD tv. Then I have my LCD tv's auxiliary out going into my speakers auxiliary in. It is only stereo sound and I want true digital surround. Unfortunately my speakers don't have a normal digital input and have only the 5.1 green orange black sound card connectors.

I need some kind of decoder / receiver that has optical input and 5.1 computer output.

Any recomedations?

It might be cheaper to get a reciever and some real speakers than go that route...

Edit:
I didn't want you to think that I was being an audio elitist dick, so I thought I would add more.

Here's a link to where a bunch of people have the same problem. With no good (affordable) solution other than to upgrade.

The speakers you have (and most like it) are made to be used with a computer, positioned relatively close to the listener. If you spread them out like a real 5.1/7.1 system in a room, they just don't have what it takes for a good sounding (and loud) system. They aren't made to be hooked up to anything but a PC, and most recievers would tear them apart if turned up if you hooked them up directly. I never recommend these types of systems to people if they tell me that they might ever use them for anything other than their computer.
A cheap 5.1 reciever (used even) and some cheap satellites are a good start to getting where you want to go.
