PS3 NHL 09

Hello,

The last hockey I purchased was NHL 07 on PS2 and the scoring was too easy. I'm wondering how is the goalie a.i. on this game? I'd tried the demo, so far I'm not used to controls yet; but I heard the goalie is easy to beat. Is this true?

Also, what about the flickering issue? I'd experienced it a couple of times in the demo, has it been fixed in the final version?

Thanks.

I tried the demo (360) and don't think the goalie is that easy to beat. Maybe I just suck but I can't win a shootout to save my life.

I've always found this to be the case in NHL, and the demo for 09 was no different. Probably takes practice learning how to deke and fake out the goalie (or finding the glitches that make it easy to score).

Also, as far as I know, the NHL games always have difficulty settings that you can fine tune beyond just selecting Rookie, Pro, etc.

Yeah and of course they're all disabled in the demo. It's keeping me from buying it actually as I find the way it is now is too damn difficult, and not always in the good way. My team seems to like to draw a lot of penalties when the opposition gets none which gets really annoying.

I have NHL2008 for the PS3 and I find this problem to be present as well, so guess they didn't fix it. I have *never* had a powerplay in my entire season. That is seriously messed up.

Well I will say I HAVE had a powerplay, they did trip me once.

I was also disappointed to see that EA Comeback Mode is still as present as ever. Meaning, the opposing team gets away with making ridiculous goals to keep the score close.
