PS3 - Network dropping

I have no idea why but my new PS3 is dropping the wireless internet connection. Yes I have have set it up correctly and able to connect to the internet and surf, but it drops after a few minutes.

Any help.

I am using Linksys WRT with speed boost, channel 9...(No one else is on this channel around me)

Known issue with this router. You're either going to have to customize every setting, load up custom firmware on the router, or get a brand new one.

I have never have a problem with this router and other wireless devices. I have a Wii and two laptops that have different wireless devices. One built in and the other is a netgear pc card.

Right. It's a known issue between those routers and PS3's.

Right. It's a known issue between those routers and PS3's.

I had this issue with my linksys and PS3. All I did was assign the PS3 an IP instead of using DHCP. Haven't had any issues since doing that months ago.

Ah, ok. My old D-link router allowed you to set a static IP based on MAC address. I was looking for something like that.

You may just be having wireless troubles. Change channels to 1, 6 or 11 ONLY and see what works best.
