PS3 Media Center

What is the best program to run on WinXP SP3 to serve as a media center for my PS3? Main use will be to view mpeg-4 movies.

i use media player 11, its easy to setup and it works perfectly for me streaming and copying over files.

I use TVersity. I have it running along side PlayOn at the moment and they seem to play nicely together. I used WMP11 for a while, but it wouldn't stream MP4 files without some registry hacks, so I gave up on it.

Installed and working great. Just doesn't seem as though my wireless can handle the streaming. Ripped a DVD (~2.0GB file size) and it suffers from choppy playback. CPU usage averages less than 4% which leads me to believe it is the wireless network.

It is, I have mine setup for quality and not performance and it never has a hiccup. Maybe fiddle with the settings and lower the quality some, probably won't notice any difference if you turned it down a little anyways.

I switched to an 802.11n network so my macbook could connect to my PS3 and stream faster (the PS3 is hardwired). Since I upgraded I no longer get the buffering problems I was having previously.

I'm new to TVersity ... for some reason, I haven't nailed it down yet, sometimes my ps3 would see TVersity and sometimes not. Both pc and ps3 are on a lan connection.
Does it matter which one is turned on first? I think I've tried both and sometimes it just won't see it

Anyone experienced the same thing before?

This what I use on a Windows Home Server box with zero issues. TVersity had too much lag to use. Also on a wireless connection

Does it support mpeg-4?

This doesn't seem too complicated to setup:

Though I haven't tested to see if this works

I had problems until I switched over to wired.

I'm planning on hard wiring it tonight. I plan to just move the computer to my living room and use my 42" LCD as the monitor.
