PS3 may not be 100% backwards compatible.

This could be a small percentage of game by my question is how large those numbers would grow if the PS4 or PS5 gets here with backwards compatability and it really puts this feature into question. Is it work dishing out bucks for a new system with this feature if it isn't gonna work properly.

I believe the same thing happened when the PS2 was released, no? Not all PSX games were compatible. Although I think most of those were poorly written games or almost unheard of anyways.

You can understand why this would be difficult though... They won't have the hardware of the PS2 in the PS3, so it will be emulation, which isn't always perfect.

I'll still buy one, even though I'm mainly a PC gamer... if I run into a title that can't be played, I won't mind using my PS2. Although really, I never use my PSX because my PS2 plays all the games I own for it, so this might be the same.
