PS3 light guns???

Slightly off topic, but I wonder how the light guns work nowadays. They used to rely on tv's interlacing.

I'm sure you just point at the objects on your TV/screen and shoot like any light gun unless I'm mistaken and you shoot backwards or through your legs?

The one for the PS3 actually uses IR sensors and emitters, like the Wiimote.

Ahh, that makes a lot of sense.

I'm a bit surprised that they can get good accuracy that way. Wii-motes seem a bit lacking in that department, IMO.
