Be lucky your 80 GB plays any PS2 games at all. I bought an 80GB MGS bundle and found out a week later that it won't play ANY PS2 games. After some investigating and a call to Sony, it appears that my 80GB PS3 is actually a 40GB PS3 with a 80GB harddrive. Figure that one out. It's going back to Sony; already received the shipping box.

Also, in the MGS bundle, I received a regular SixAxis controller; no DS3. I have to exchange that, too.

wtf?

Someone bought and returned a bundle with their old 40GB and SixAxis in the box instead of the original equipment. They swapped hard drives so they didn't lose their savegames and digital content.

I hate people.

Sony people maybe.

So did you return it and get your money back or get an exchange for a correct version?

I started the exchange process a few days after I bought the bundle which was the day after I began figuring out the issue. I received the empty box yesterday. I'll be shipping the PS3 out on Monday. I still haven't received the email with info on how to exchange the controller. Looks like I need to make a third call to Sony.
