ps3 games that don't require a left thumb?

My cat went crazy this weekend when another cat came around the house, and I got attacked when I tried to bring my cat inside the house. My left thumbnail is gouged through and basically ripped in half.

So my left thumb is going to be out of commission for quite some time. I was wondering what games I can still play. Anything that is slower paced such that I could use my left index finger for the joystick is okay.

So far all I've played without much trouble is PixelJunk Monsters, which I've already beaten about 4-5 times on hardcore in the past. So once I beat this game again, what's next?

A friend suggested Guitar Hero/ Rockband so that might be what I try next. Any other games?

Next time you will listen.

That's a tough break OP, maybe looking into getting a XIM 2 as you can then use a keyboard and mouse instead of the PS3 controller. Might be more work than you are looking for though.

Hope you heal up quick.

Are there any good turn-based games on the PS3? I did some searching and at least Civilization Revolution and the Disgaea games should be fine and don't require quick reflexes.

Also, racing games that let you FULLY customize your controller setup might be doable, if you are able to do throttle/brake with the triggers and steer with the RIGHT (instead of left) analog stick. I don't know which games are customizable in this way; maybe a PS3 owner can chime in.

Get yourself keyboard and mouse or go completely PC.
Playing with keyboard and mouse is easier with a left thumb but you can manage without.

I think that if you give yourself a few days, the pain will go away for the most part and you'll be able to use the left stick with a bandaged thumb. I've had enough finger injuries to attest to this...
