WRONG

Stop by any store and you'll see tons sitting around.........

But Wii's sell out fast as @#$@

but they're keeping the supply pipeline moving. Nintendo isn't keeping the supply pipeline moving.

The supply pipeline needs to keep moving man.

That makes no sense.

They've shipped 1 million, and sold 700,000. That means that they ARENT SELLING, they are sitting around the stores.

There Supply has now exceeded demand because people wanted them to make profit off during the holidays. BUt people didn't do that for the Wii.....they wanted it to play.

Sony should just build a massive physical pipeline from japan into the U.S instead of that air lifting thing. That'll really get their supply pipeline going!

Sony spokesman Dave Karraker said the company is airlifting more than 100,000 systems into the United States every week, which is why units can be found at retail.

Isn't Nintendo shipping 250k/week?

at my local best buy, they have a tower of 25 of them. Over a two and a half week period, not even half of them are gone...

By the time PS3 gets any good games, The Xbox 360 will be advanced in graphics on their 2nd gen games maybe 3rd gen. The Xbox 360 will be cheaper to own and still be Xbox Live.

Or I could have just gotten a Wii because I'm not that hard core of a gamer anyways.

Reports are the 2nd gen with the smaller chip and HDMI won't even be out for a year and a half.

"It isn't because demand has weakened, it is because we have kept the supply pipeline moving," Karraker said.

GameSpot's weekly podcast reported that not a single top 10 selling game in December was a PlayStation 3 game. The Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and Sony PS2 all represented.

I read it would be the second half of this year for the smaller chips.

HDMI is still a rumor at this point. The video that was posted showing a 360 with HDMI was a MS prototype. The MS guys at Gamerscore Blog said they have many such prototypes at MS as they play with different hardware configurations for the 360.

There may be a huge of supply for PS3 now, but there aren't that much good games to sell it. The only reason IMO that the PS3 was sold out the first time was to re-sell it on ebay for big bucks. If Sony had a better launch line-up or better games before Christmas with a cheaper price tag (399 20GB/499 60GB) then maybe it'll sell better.

Is this why my internet connection is so laggy lately? Sony has filled up my pipeline with unwanted PS3s?
