PS3 Controllers for PC

My friend has a PS3 controller he's letting me use for Dynasty Warriors 6 on my computer and without paying for anything I was wondering if there was a way that would allow me to use the controller for the game on my puter.
I have vista ultimate 64 bit SP1

I haven't personally tried it, but there are a wealth of results on Google for "ps3 controller on pc" including a YouTube video. I'd start there and let us know if you're still having trouble.
I was going to do it for Assassin's Creed as I'd heard it didn't control well with KB/mouse, but it suits me fine.

Plug in USB cord to controller and then to the PC. Turn on controller.

Buy yourself a wired XBox 360 controller and save yourself a little hassle?

Shizzle. The USB Xbox controller is far better for computer use. Especially because a lot of modern games (like GRID as an example) will recognize it and setup your buttons automatically. They even use the colors for the buttons on screen.

Heck, nearly every multi-platform game has built-in support for the XBox 360 controllers. Vista has support built in, so there aren't even any drivers to install.

hey is the xbox controller really that bad on the PC? Specifically for SF4 but for other console type games too...?
