PS3 Black Screen

I was installing a demo on my PS3, and the screen went black and the system became unresponsive. Now every time I turn it on, it just gives me a black screen. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it. It is a slim, if that helps,.

I assume you've checked your HDMI connection on both ends?

maybe the resolution changed to one your tv can't support. there is a way you can reset it to default. i believe you hold the power button down for like 5 or 10 seconds, and it resets it to 480i.

I checked both HDMI ends. I also did the resolution reset and nothing worked.

Yeah. I even used the HDMI cable from my xbox to see if that would work and had the same results.

Turn on and hold the power button down for 8 seconds, that should reset the display.

I did this, and it didn't do anything.

I got it to recognize the A/V cables and it said there was some corrupt data, so I restored it to factory settings and am downloading everything all over again. Hopefully I won't have any issues.
